Connecting your email takes about a minute. The platform uses your provider’s official sign-in (OAuth) — AstraMedia never sees or stores your email password.

Connect Gmail

1

Go to Settings → Email connection (or follow the onboarding step that asks you to connect your email).

2

Choose Gmail and click “Connect”. A Google sign-in popup opens.

3

Sign in to the Gmail account you want to send from and approve the permissions screen.

4

If you see the “Google hasn’t verified this app” / “unverified app” warning (normal while the app is in early-access verification):

  • Click “Advanced” at the bottom of the warning.
  • Click “Go to AstraMedia (unsafe)” — this is the expected step; it just means Google hasn’t completed its review, not that anything is wrong.
  • Continue and approve the requested permissions.
5

Back in AstraMedia, the status should flip to “Connected” — usually within a second or two. If it still shows an older status, click “Continue” or refresh the page (see below).

Tip: Use a Gmail account you actually check — replies and follow-ups land there, and the platform sends from that exact address.

Connect Outlook / Microsoft 365

1

Go to Settings → Email connection (or the onboarding email step).

2

Choose Outlook and click “Connect”. A Microsoft sign-in popup opens.

3

Sign in with your Microsoft account (personal Outlook.com, or a work/school Microsoft 365 account) and approve the permissions.

4

Return to AstraMedia — the status should show “Connected”.

“It says not connected” — did it work? It probably did. The page now updates in real time (fix deployed 2026-09-09). If you ever see a stale banner, click “Continue” — the app re-checks your connection, or refresh the page. Retrying Connect repeatedly can create confusing popups; wait a moment and the status will update.

Switch or disconnect an account

You can change which email is connected anytime from Settings → Email connection. Disconnecting only stops future sends from that address — it doesn’t delete past campaigns or saved journalists.
